FOM has officially been approved for training mustangs for T.I.P! Our trip to Canon City was awesome. We picked out 13 mustangs ranging in age from yearlings to 5 years old. They are all beautiful and will be ready to go. We have palominos, red duns, blacks, grays, blue roan, and red roan (sorry to say they never had appaloosa or buckskin). We are looking for talented trainers who employ natural horsemanship techniques to gentle American Mustangs. If you think you meet the required qualifications, please apply. The FOM will be looking to match qualified adopters with wild horses trained by approved TIP trainers.  The Mustang Heritage Foundation requirements will be followed for this process. Click HERE to read about our trip to Canon City.

If you are interested in adopting a mustang here in Grand Junction, contact Carolyn Gilbert at waytoomanypets@gmail.com.

Special Thanks: I would like to thank all of the volunteers, people that adopted mustangs today, for all the PR work, and sharing my post. Because of this we had all of our 10 mustangs go to new homes. This is huge; in 3-months-time, 23 wild mustangs were placed in our area to awesome people. Good luck to you all; remember if you need help or advice text us at the ranch--Kare 4 Mustangs.

Preparing for Mustangs

Steve Leonard from Canon City showed up at 4:30 p.m. on Friday the 17th with 10 of the mustangs we picked out a month ago to start the TIP training program. We had 75 people here ready to see them; what an exciting day for all the trainers and people that will adopt these gorgeous horses.
Here is the crew that helped put up panels on Thursday the 16th. I want to thank all of you for your help and support to start this training and adoption program. We are having 4 more come in on Wednesday the 21st.
The ranch is one of 5 store front programs in the country. We are blessed to be able to support the BLM in this TIP program. Anyone that would like to participate, and has knowledge in training, please contact Carolyn @ 970-261-6407 or Jim Dollershell at the BLM office. I will donate a stall for anyone who otherwise couldn't do this.
