Marty Felix
is a VERY active member in the Friends of the Mustangs.
I want thank her for submitting these pictures, and strongly appreciate all of her efforts!

All These pictures were taken by Marty & the captions are what she said about her pictures.
Also in some of the pictures the name "Cherokee" is mentioned. Cherokee is a mustang that was rounded up and adopted and belonged to Marty.

This is my favorite "series" of shots so far this year.  Here's the story.

Cindy and Bill Loos and I were near the pad in North Soda watching Lane, Firefly, and their foal Thor along with Rojito, Doc, and Coquette.  It was a peaceful time with some horses grazing and some sleeping.  It was late March, and Cabin Boy's band hadn't come "home" yet.  Some of the horses in the field looked over toward the pad, and here came Cabin Boy's band at a dead run.  They made quite an entrance.  As you can see, even the mares were fired up!  They ran right over to Lane and picked a fight.  Doc came to his rescue, and so many horses were jumping around, I really didn't know who was doing what until the end when Doc and Cabin Boy went at it.  This went on for about five minutes, and then Cabin Boy's band took off for the woods as quickly as they appeared on the scene.  Cindy, Bill, and I looked at each other and said "WOW!  Did this really happen?"  Bill was shooting video, and I think he got the entire fracas, except maybe when Cabin Boy blasted right toward him at a dead run.
