Erica (FOM) Youngblood member the future of our club and Mustang Aztec
Friends of the Mustangs (FOM) in conjunction with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) had our annual Open House/Mustang and burro Adoption September 22, 2012 at the Grand Junction Posse grounds.
This event was a huge success! Dr. Carrica from Amigo Animal Clinic gave a presentation, Jim Dollerschell from the Bureau of Land Management and Marty Felix member FOM spoke about the Little Book cliffs Wild Horses and Birth Control for Mustang mares on our range. Members show cased their own adopted Mustangs, Showing how sturdy, dependable, and loyal these Mustangs are. Canyon City brought over 24 Mustangs and burros for the adoption, and everyone is happy to say that 21 of the 24 animals where adopted to pre-approved wonderful adopters. Only three Burros where not adopted, they went back to Canyon City and are available for adoption form that facility.
Thank you Beckie Diehl, Nickey McKay, Cathy Blazer, and Marty Felix,(FOM) members, Jim Dollerschell, Jerome Fox, and the Canyon City Crew from the (BLM) for all your help with this successful event! Great Job!
